Business on Break - Let's talk Vacation!

South Florida is one of those vacation spots where you don't need much planning to have a good time: the beach and the entertainment around it are plenty to fill out your itinerary.

However, as locals, we can show you a side of Miami that will make you understand why so many people (Miami-Dade’s population has grown 7.8% in the last 5 years) choose this area as their new home.

Below we have curated a list of activities starting from Ft. Lauderdale to the Florida Keys (North to South map) that will show you a side of Miami not many visitor know!

Hop-On Hop-Off Boats

Take a Water Taxi in Fort Lauderdale and navigate through the many channels of the Yachting Capital of the World. Get off at any of the multiple stops, have a drink, walk around, shop, sightsee and get back on the next one!

World Renowned Art District

Right on the heart of Miami, Wynwood is home of the biggest international art fair in the US, Art Basel and hosts dozens of galleries all year round. Take an afternoon walk on 2nd avenue and observe the edgy murals that make this place so unique.

Wine, Cheese and live Music!

Walk up to the wine stand and pick out your wine, select the cheeses, grab a chair and be ready to make some friends. Every night after 9, live bands play from jazz to blue grass, in cozy shabby looking living room space. With an outdoors sitting with BBQ options on a carry out menu, this New Orleans style joint, will make you forget you are in Miami.

Tour to the Past

Villa Vizcaya, in Coconut Grove, is an early 1900 Renaissance inspired estate now turned into a museum. This day trip is a great opportunity to give you skin a break from the sun and day dream how the Italian nobility lived.

It's all About the Journey

When you leave the Vizcaya Mansion toward the next stop south, avoid busy and congested highways and drive on Old Cutler Road. This route has been preserved with it's natural jungle feel and is the entrance to many rich and famous mansions - such as Madonna.

Nostalgic Stroll

On your way to the Keys, make a stop at Cauley Square and visit this historic town full of character. Here you can try to unveil the secrets of the Coral Castle, watch a live alligators show, visit a bonsai garden and enjoy a great meal at local restaurants among other things.

Wild Life Watch

Less than 150 years ago, South Florida was a big swamp and besides man's attempt to dominate nature, there still is a big part of the State composed of wetlands. Take advantage of your trip and visit the Everglades, there is a variety of tours available from walks, bike rides, air boat rides and live shows, to experience the real Florida, up-close.

Take the Top Down

Going on US1 from Miami to the Florida Keys will be one of the most enjoyable drives you will ever have. Make sure you have rented a convertible for this trip because navigating this scenic highway, with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Golf of Mexico on the other, while passing through little island towns and small beaches is already a vacation.

Cabin on an Island

After such a pleasant drive you will want to stop everywhere. If you planned ahead, you could stay at one of the cabins available in Bahia Honda State Park. 3 hours south of Miami this small island with only 6 cabins (and camping grounds) is of stunning natural beauty.

Perfect Getaway

The island of Key West is very hard to describe as there is nothing like it in the US. Think of a tropical island, with a picturesque old town, endless art galleries, southern style architecture and roosters roaming the streets. With boutique hotels, water sports and a lively night life this city encompasses all you need for a fun vacation.

Miami is a good choice for business, vacation and much more!
